Emily没说话，只是一个劲用手捂着嘴巴。过了两秒钟，她才把手拿下来，小声说：“Morning， Jingzhe！”（早上好，婧蔗！）
今天Emily涂了一层浅浅的粉色唇彩，上面带着零星银粉，十分俏皮可爱。
“What’s the matter with you?”婧芝不解地问。(你怎么了？)
Emily忍俊不禁地说：“Tell me， how’s my pronunciation today？Am I right?”（告诉我，我今天的发音怎么样？我对了吗？）
“……”婧芝被Emily的话弄得有些尴尬，想了想，只好实话实说，“Not too bad. But I’m afraid it’s not totally correct.”（不算差。但我恐怕它还不是完全正确。）
“Isn’t it Jingzhe？”（难道不是“婧蔗”吗？）Emily兴致勃勃地重复着。
听到Emily的发音越来越接近，婧芝很高兴，夸赞说：“You’re almost there. It’s Jingzhi.”（你已经差不多了。它是“婧芝”。）
“Let me try it again. Jing……zhi……”
“Exactly!”（对了！）婧芝稍显激动地说，“You’re perfectly right this time!”（你这次完全正确！）
“Is that Jingzhi?”（是“婧芝”吗）Emily 再重复一次，“Jingzhi？”（婧芝？）
“Yes， yes， you’re right， that is Jingzhi，my given name.”（是的，是的，你是对的，就是“婧芝”，我的名字。）
听到婧芝非常肯定的回答，Emily终于如释重负，说道：“Actually， I’ve been learning Chinese nowadays. To be honest， I’ve been practicing pronouncing your given name before you came here. I was wondering whether I’ve got the right pronunciation. Anyway， at least I had a try.”（事实上，我目前正在学习中文。老实说，在你来这里之前，我一直在练习读你的名字。我怀疑我是不是读对了。不论如何，至少我试过了。）
